Grandmother Moon Teachings
Indigenous Teacher, Patsy Day of the Turtle Clan, Oneida Nation will share the Creation Story and teach participants how the moon affects plant life and the growing season.

I Love You to The Moon & Back!
In Sam McBratney’s book “Guess How Much I Love You” Big Nut Brown Hare loved Little Nut Brown Hare all the way to the moon & back. Bring the people you love to share stories we all love as we read beneath the moon on Tom Patterson Island
Thursday August 23
People of all ages love the moon! Babies, toddlers, kids, teens, parents & grandparents too….you are all welcome to join us for an intergenerational story time that will feature singing, dancing and interactive storytelling. Fun for all ages!
Friday August 24
Ever wonder what the surface of the moon is like? What would it be like to move around on the moon? What type of vehicle do you think would work best? Be your own designer of a moon buggy or rocket ship with various building supplies.
Saturday August 25
What do you think about when you gaze at the moon? Ever wonder what it would be like to travel there? Throughout history the moon has inspired artists, poets, scientists, writers and musicians of all ages. Come express your thoughts, ideas and reflections about the moon using many different mediums. Create! Explore! Imagine!
