Travel to another world at the Stratford Public Library! Join us for VR for Teens to explore virtual reality.

This is a free, drop-in program for ages 12-19 year olds.

National Canadian Film Day

Celebrate National Canadian Film Day on April 18th by watching films chosen by YOU! Join us for screenings of the award-winning films Maudie, The Breadwinner, and, and for fans of The Hip, Long Time Running. 

Films will be screened throughout the day on April 18th in the Auditorium.
10am - Maudie
1pm - The Breadwinner (Must be ages 10+)
7pm - Long Time Running


VR for Teens!

Have you ever experienced Virtual Reality before? Join us for a VR Experience and be transported to another, truly awesome, world! 

Virtual Reality uses a computer, headset, and sensors to immerse you directly into a three-dimensional, computer-generated world. Your head, hand(s), and sometimes body movements, are tracked to let you interact with what you see inside the headset.

This program will take place in the auditorium. Drop-in. 

Crafternoon: Sneaky Art!

Come discover your inner guerilla artist by sneaking fun projects into unexpected places. The end result is tons of fun and smiles for all! 

Author of "Sneaky Art," Marthe Jocelyn, will guide us through the steps to create our own sneaky art projects.

This program will take place in the Auditorium. All ages welcome!

Storm Chasing in Ontario

David Chapman will lead a powerful presentation explaining the effects storms have in Ontario.

Experience the entire life cycle of thunderstorms with this exciting and educational presentation. See how they form and develop into powerful lightning and wind storms. Watch an Ontario supercell tornado from start to finish as it cuts a path through the countryside near Arthur, ON as well as two other tornadoes to hit our province! 

No registration is required, but seating is limited! 


#SaveTheBook pits banned and challenged books against each other in a battle to see which banned book is most loved in Stratford. Vote for your favourite book on Twitter or Facebook, and let everyone know you support intellectual freedom and the right to read. 

Family Fort Fun

Bring the whole family to the library and build a fort! We'll supply the materials, you supply the imagination! Share stories together by flashlight. All ages welcome.

This program will take place in the Auditorium.

Dare to Discover: Finger Knitting

Ever wonder... how to knit without needles?

Join David Fitzsimmons of Miiru Trading for a fun introduction to finger knitting! This workshop will take you through the step-by-step process of knitting your own project.  After a hands-on tutorial from the expert, participants will have the opportunity to finger-knit their own inifinity cowl. 

All supplies are provided for this free, drop-in program. This program will take place in the Auditorium.
